Wee Play is located in a 3,000 square foot, bright, colorful
studio in the beautiful Sugar Oak Office Park near Reston Town Center and Fairfax County Parkway and offers
innovative parent/child enrichment classes,
drop-in open play, special events,
memorable birthday parties, and
"mommy and me" summer camps.

The 5 components of a Pee Wee or Wee Play class:
At table or arrival time, children are enhancing their
fine motor development through the use of manipulative toys and small tools. They are measuring, experimenting,
discovering, creating, classifying, sorting, and imagining.
| Circle Time |
|
Circle time facilitates cognitive or intellectual development as children
participate through stories, puppetry, songs, and fingerplays. Children are practicing their listening skills, developing
language skills, learning pre-reading skills, sequencing events, gathering information, using imagination, recognizing letters,
numbers, and shapes.
| Art |
|
During the Art segment of the class, creativity is expanded
as children explore many types of age-appropriate, safe art materials. They are developing fine motor skills, increasing
language development, and developing self-esteem as they bring their ideas to life.
| Active Play |
|
During active play time, children are developing
their large motor skills. They are working on balance and stability and basic movement skills such as running,
jumping, galloping, hopping and skipping, and fundamental motor skills such as throwing, catching, striking, and kicking.
Wee Play uses safe, quality materials and props- balls of many sizes, bean bags, ribbon streamers, ride-ons, hoops, mini-tramp,
scooters, hoppers, balance beams, see-saws, balloons, paddles, hockey sticks and the much- loved parachute.

We join together at the end of class for snack. We are learning to follow instructions, developing self-help skills, developing self-control,
learning to share,and practicing our friendly table manners.
Throughout each Wee Play class, children are developing their social skills; how to be a good friend - learning
to share, cooperate, and take turns.
Wee Play is committed to providing innovative age-appropriate play
classes for parents or caregivers and their young children in a fun, caring, and positive environment.
